Senior (Sr) Software Developer

Osi Vision is currently seeking a Senior (Sr.) Software Developer for a position located at San Antonio, Texas. In this position, the Senior (Sr.) Software Developer will provide software development and maintenance support and utilize standard software life cycle processes such as requirements definition, design, testing, documentation, SQA, SCM, etc. The position supports the Air Force Identity Assurance Section and will entail development and maintenance of public key infrastructure (PKI) tools and functions. Integration of 3 rd -party applications and products into existing PKI architectures will also be required. This position will report to the Enterprise Team lead. Additional responsibilities include providing advice and guidance on software development, network security, and identity assurance technologies and concepts.

Experience and Knowledge

  • Hands on experience with modern software development tools and languages such as Microsoft Visual Studio and C# to develop and maintain software
  • Knowledge of and experience with software development processes and lifecycles that meet CMMI Level 3 criteria
  • Proficient experience with national defense software development practices and policies required to solve major software/technical problems.
  • Experience and efficient solving operating problems; design, code, test
  • Experience and knowledge of identity assurance technologies and standards
  • Ability to work either individually or as a member of a software development team

Education, Skills & Certifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field with at least a minimum of 8 years of software development experience or IT experience beyond the minimum required may substituted in lieu of degree and must include all applicable required experience and knowledge
  • Proficient with software development tools such as Integrated Development Environments (C++ Builder, Microsoft Visual Studio, QNX Neutrino, etc.)
  • CISSP or similar certification desired

Desired Skills:

  • Knowledge of network security concepts and practices
  • Past experience supporting Federal programs and commercial industry

Additional Information:

  • Eligible to obtain and hold a secret clearance
  • Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required
  • Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government background investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information
